Dr Fana Malherbe is a celebrated
South African sculptor.
Working from his home studio in the culture-rich town of Stellenbosch, in Cape Town’s wine region, he draws inspiration from forty years of experience as a plastic surgeon. His construction of the human form in clay, wax and stone is a natural progression, developing from a fine regard for aesthetics and an understanding of form, contour and volume by nature of his profession. Now retired, and focussing on sculpting, he casts each bronze piece in a limited seven editions only.
